Ebenezer Baptist Church
Fifth Sunday worship service is at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Christopher O’Bryant bringing the message.
At 11 a.m. Sept. 6, the church celebrates its anniversary and the anniversary of the pastor, the Rev. Hosie Waters. Green Grove Baptist Church is in charge. Dinner will be served. Everyone is invited.

A fish dinner sale is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29. Price is $6 for tilapia, coleslaw, baked beans and bread.

Annual revival services are at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 31-Sept. 4 with the Rev. Tommie Law of Ellaville as speaker. The public is invited.

New Life Temple Of Deliverance       Ministries Inc.
Family and Friends Day is observed at 4 p.m. Sunday with Bishop Melvin McCluster bringing the message.
At 4 p.m. Sept. 27, Apostle Vera Holt, pastor, hosts a Fruit of Spirit program. Everyone is invited to both events.

Cheek Memorial Baptist Church
A fifth Sunday night sing is at 6 p.m., featuring church talent. Refreshments follows in the church fellowship hall.

A God’s Gift of Love benefit program for Blake E. Hollis is at 3 p.m. Sunday who underwent brain surgery and is rehabilitating. Raffle tickets for $2 are available for a gift basket, a Ruby Tuesday gift card and a king-sized comforter set. The 75th Progressive Ushers’ Convention hosts the Fifth Sunday Ushers’ Convention at 11 a.m. at the church. Evangelist Angelia McKinstry of William Grove Baptist Church, Ellaville brings the sermon. Speaker for the ushers is Sister Glenda Lockett. The community is invited.

New Hope A.M.E. Church
The annual 50-State Rally is at 4 p.m. Saturday along with a gospel concert. Refreshments will be served.
