Americus
United Holiness Church
The annual Founders’ Week Observance is at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 and 13, at 6 p.m. Nov. 14 and 11 a.m. Nov. 15. Everyone is invited.

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church
The Deaconness Ministry sponsors a free clothes giveaway from 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 14 in the Hope Fellowship Hall for anyone in need. For information call Sister Rosa Sims at 942-7569 or 924-2700.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church

Perry B. Grove Baptist Church
The 10th anniversary of Pastor Bishop Alfred Rushin and lady-elect Mary Rushin is celebrated at 4 p.m. Nov. 14. Speaker is Bishop Eddie E. Griggs Jr. and Upon the Rock Ministry of Decatur.

New Corinth Baptist Church
The cemetery preservation project culminates from noon-4 p.m. today, Nov. 7. Meats and beverages will be provided. Everyone is asked to bring a favorite side dish. Everyone is invited.
The choir’s 52nd anniversary is observed at 3 p.m. Nov. 15. All choirs, gisoel groups and the public are invited.

Old Antioch Missionary Baptist Church
The annual Missionary Program is at 11 a.m. Nov. 15 during the worship service. Guest speaker is Sister Kimberly Page of New Hope A.M.E. Church. Everyone is invited.

Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church
Harvest Day is observed at 3 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker is retired Elder Karl Colquitt of Americus. Music is by Leonard Tyson, Trellis Barthell and Mattie Colquitt. Theme is “The Harvest is Evidence of God’s Goodness.” The public is invited.

World Church Ministries
The pastor’s 11th appreciation and church anniversary is celebrated at 11 a.m. Sunday with Minister Michael Carter of World Changers Church of Atlanta as guest evangelist. The public is invited.

Old Shady Grove Baptist Church
Pastor Jesse Watts; 31-year anniversary is celebrated at 11 a.m. Sunday during the worship service. Pastor Clinton Alridge and Spring Hill Baptist Church are in charge. All churches are invited. Dinner will be served.

Bethel Baptist Church
The Judgment House is cinducted at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12-14. Admission is free and reservations are not required. For information call Paula Crook at 337-0072.

Bethlehem Baptist Church
The 12th annual Men’s and Ladies Night Out is at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 and 12. Wednesday, the Ladies Night features Pastor Diane Hinsley-Powell of Allen Chapel Community Church, Richland. The color is red. Thursday, Men’s Night features the Rev. Calvin Rollins of Big Bethel Baptist Church, Americus. Color is black. Men and ladies are welcome either night.

Shipp Chapel Baptist Church
A gospel benefit concert along with Greater New Lebanon and Welcome Baptist Church for their musician, Freddie Mann Jr., is at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at Shipp Chapel, Ga. Highway 49 South. Several musicians will perform. The public and all surrounding churches are invited.

Andersonville
St. Paul A.M.E. Church
The church’s 125th anniversary is observed at 11 a.m. Sunday with Pastor Norris Harris bringing the message. Come as you are and dinner will be served.

Ellaville
William Grove Baptist Church
The Pastor’s 12th Appreciation is celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Gregory Porter and Mount Zion Baptist Church of Buena Vista in charge of services. The public is invited.
On Nov. 15 only, the worship service is at 9 a.m.

Jerusalem Baptist Church
Everyone is invited to the annual Men and Women Day program Sunday. Sunday school is at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 with the Rev. Tommie Law of Ellaville as speaker.

Rylander Church
A gospel sing starts at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 7 featuring Three in Chord of Schley and Sumter counties.

Lebanon Baptist Church
The Senior Ushers’ Board Ministry celebrates the 93rd Ushers’ Anniversary at 11 a.m. Nov. 22. Sister Tracy Clemons of William Grove Baptist Church, Ellaville, will speak on the duties of an usher. The Rev. Hosie Waters delivers the sermons. Gleaner captains are Deacons J.C. Bryant Jr. and Charlie Wright, and Sister Patricia Williams. Everyone is welcome.
The Senior Choir Ministry hosts a Thanksgiving Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. Nov. 26. The Rev. Hose Water delivers the sermon. Breakfast will served afterward. The community is invited.

Smithville
Zion Hope Baptist Church
A Men and Women Conference is from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. today, Nov. 7 with the Rev. Willie Green, Sister Monica Kearse and Sister Veronica Arline as presenters. Keynote speaker is Minister Joseph Green and Minister Beverly Green of Warner Robins. Breakfast and lunch will be served and everyone is invited.

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church
The 142nd church anniversary celebration is Sunday, with Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed at 11 a.m. by worship led by Apostle Henry Holsey. At 2:30 p.m., the Rev. W. James Hill and Zion Hill Baptist Church of Leslie are in charge.

New Hope A.M.E Church
A fifth Sunday Spiritual Cake Walk is at 5 p.m. Nov. 29 with multiple speakers and churches on the program. Refreshments will be served.
