AMERICUS — Americus City manager, Steve Kennedy, has announced that Patrick Kay has been selected to fill the position of Main Street director.
Kay was one of three finalists for the position, and comes to Americus after serving several years as rxecutive director of the Manistee Main Street Downtown Development Authority of the City of Manistee, Michigan. In addition, Kay has served as executive director of Downtown Middleton Inc. of Middleton, Ohio, and Brunswick Main Street Inc. of Brunswick, Maryland. He brings with him 10 years of experience with main street revitalization and organizational fundraising, downtown real estate development and construction and the creation and inception of innovative programs that have the potential to be beneficial to the Americus community.
Kay’s official first day as Main Street director is May 2.
