Fellowship Baptist Church

The annual Commitment Sunday service is at 11 a.m. Sunday with  Dr. Brett Younger, associate professor of preaching at the McAfee School of Theology, as speaker. A luncheon will follow at the church.

Welcome Baptist Church

An ordination service for Brother Alfred (Rick) Harris Jr.,  as a deacon, is at 3 p.m. Sunday. The pastor of Vision of Life Missionary Baptist Church, Atlanta, delivered the message. The Rev. Freddie Mann invites the public. Refreshments will be served.

New Ebenezer Baptist Church

The annual revival is 7:30 p.m. May 27-29 with the Rev. D.L. Duncan as guest evangelist. Everyone is invited.

Daniel Grove Baptist Church

Usher and Mission anniversaries are observed at 11 a.m. Sunday during worship services.

Antioch Baptist Church

The seventh anniversary of the Rev. Kenny Gouch continues Sunday with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. At 2:30 p.m. Oak Ridge Baptist Church and its pastor of Albany are in charge of the service. Dinner will be served.

New Corinth Baptist Church

All area churches and the public are invited to celebrate the church and pastor’s anniversaries at 2 p.m. Sunday when the Rev. Calvin Rollins and Big Bethel Baptist Church are in charged of services.

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church

The Sumter Benefit Club presents a musical program to benefit Brother Nathaniel Wright at 5 p.m. May 31 at the church, Ga. Highway 118 South.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church

An appreciation benefit program for  Deacon Sylvester Jones is at 4 p.m. Saturday. For information call Sister Stacy Kelly 942-6522.


Ellaville Baptist Church

Vacation Bible School is at 5:30- 9 p.m. June 1 for ages 3 years old to completed sixth grade, and 6:15-9 p.m. June 2-4. At 6:15 p.m. June 5 is Family Night and all parents and relatives are invited .


Corinth United Methodist Church

The annual revival services are at 7 p.m. May 18-21. Guest pastors are Sunday, the Rev. Mark Kinservik, County Line United Methodist Church; Monday, the Rev. Tom Teate, Hopewell/Concord United Methodist churches; Tuesday,  Brother James Sosby, Lee Street United Methodist Church; and Wednesday, the Rev. Debbie Cone, Abbeville-Liberty Hill United Methodist churches. The song and worship service are to be led by Randy and Lavada Lankford with special music nightly. Monday night is United Methodist Men night with a covered dish supper at 6 p.m. All are invited.
