Harvest Gathers Church

A Winter Clothes GIve-away is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion building, U.S. Highway 19 North. Features clothes and shoes in all sizes for men, women and children. Donations accepted for the purpose of the ministry; soup, chili and sandwiches served.

Calvary Episcopal Church

The annual Boar's Head Feast is set for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 4. Wassail is served followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Reservations (recommended) at $25 per person must be paid in advance. Table group seating is available when designated with reservations. Calvary Men's Club promises a wide selection of game, fowl, meat and casseroles plus dessert as has been traditionally served. Big Bethel Baptist Church

The annual Candlelight March is at 6 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Solomon Loud of Albany brings the message.



Plains

Lebanon Baptist Church

Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. Hosie Waters.

St. Andrew’s Luther Church

The annual Christmas Eve Candlelight and Carols Service is at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Everyone is welcome.

Smithville

Jerusalem Grove    Baptist Church

Watch Night service starts at 10 p.m. Dec. 31 with messages brought by Minister Marcus Johnson of Albany, the Rev. E.X. King of New Hope A.M.E. Church, Minister Mireo Harris of Americus and the Rev. Edward Williams of Shiloh Baptist Church, Dawson. Music will be the Jerusalem Grove Senior Choir. The public is invited and breakfast will be served.

Sumter City

Zion Hope Baptist Church

Watch Night Service begins at 10 p.m. Dec. 31. Speakers are Pastor G.F. Monts and sons and daughters of the house. Everyone is invited and breakfast will be served.
