ELLAVILLE — Ellaville City manager attends conference

On Jan. 24-27, Ellaville City Manager Deborah P. Smith attended the Georgia Municipal Association’s Mayors Day Conference in Atlanta.

One of the main purposes of Mayors Day was to discuss legislative issues of interest to cities.

With U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss’ decision not to seek reelection in 2014, a number of individuals have already announced their intention to run for the seat. Candidates from both the Republican and Democratic parties shared their views on issues of concern to city officials and stated their vision for governing in Washington, D.C.

Congratulations to Margaret Taylor
