• Beau Aaron Bridges, 32, of 526 Commerce St., Leslie is charged with theft by shoplifting (second offense).
Incidents
• A juvenile problem was reported at a Magnolia Village Drive residence.
• A 1985 maroon Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was reported stolen at a Belinda Circle residence.
• Criminal trespass was reported at residences on Lily Lane and South Hampton Street.
• An abandoned vehicle was reported at Broadmoor Realty, 107 N. Jackson St.
• A hit and run accident was reported at Sumter Regional East, 1048 E. Forsyth St.
• Damage to a vehicle was reported at People’s Community Bank, 102 Prince St.
• Entering auto and second-degree criminal damage were reported at a North Mayo Street residence.
• Juveniles were reportedly throwing rocks at cars on U.S. Highway 280 East.
• Criminal trespass was reported at a Peachtree Street residence.
• A domestic disturbance was reported at a Sun Valley Drive residence.
• Second-degree criminal damage was reported at Americus Garden Apartments, 730 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
• An assault was reported at a Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard residence.

Arrest
• John Gerald Ragsdale, 38, of Hawkinsville is charged with probation violation. He was jailed.
Incidents
• A traffic accident involving a deer was reported on Ga. Highway 377.
• A motorist told authorities that while he was driving on U.S. Highway 19 North, a rock was kicked up in the roadway and struck his windshield, causing damage.
• A gas leak was reported at Ga. Highway 30 West and Young’s Mill Road.
• A shirtless female was reported on Pecan Drive, Cobb, in the area of Fat Boys.
• Deputies responded to a Thomas Mill Road residence where a woman said something was in the attic. Upon investigation, “a small animal” was removed from the attic. The woman was still insistent there was something else up there, and was very upset. Some friends came over to calm her, according to the report.
• A suspicious person was reported on County Line Road.
• A shirtless man was reported lying in the middle of Ga. Highway 30 West. The responding deputy located an intoxicated juvenile in the area, and charged him with underage consumption of alcohol and public drunkenness.
• Deputies responded to alarms at one business and one residence.
• Burglary was reported at a Still Quarters Circle residence, Leslie.
• A motorist driving on U.S. Highway 19 North told authorities that while inmates were cutting the grass, the mower threw up a rock, damaging his windshield.
• An abandoned tractor was reported on South Georgia Tech Bypass, near a pecan orchard.
• A Dupree Road resident told authorities a kitten has climbed through a hole and was beneath her bath tub. The kitten was rescued.
• The County’s animal control officer removed two small dogs from an R.W. Jones Road residence and took them to the Sumter Humane Society animal shelter.
• The County’s anima control officer responded to a Ginger Drive residence to the complaint of a dog behaving aggressively and chasing children in the neighborhood. The dog was taken to the Sumter Humane Society animal shelter.

Arrest
• Stanley James Searcy, no age or address provided, is charged with driving while license is suspended and giving false name/information to officer. He was incarcerated in the Sumter County Jail.
