• Firefighters responded to a passenger vehicle fire on Eastview Circle. • Firefighters responded to six calls for medical assistance. • Firefighters responded to a rubbish fire on Hartman Street. • Firefighters responded to a natural gas leak on East Lester Street. • Firefighters responded to a smoke scare on McMath Mill Road which turned out to be from a controlled burn. • Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Southerfield Road at the Cooper Lighting driveway. Americus Police Department Arrest • Cynthia Lynn Bateman, 29, of Americus is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. She was jailed. Incidents
