AMERICUS — Americus Fire and Emergency Services

• Firefighters responded to six calls for medical assistance.

• Firefighters responded to North Jackson Street where a house was filling with smoke. They found it was an HVAC problem.

• Firefighters responded to a stove fire in Lafayette Street.

• Firefighters responded to East Lamar Street to a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

• Firefighters responded to a possible structure fire on North Lee Street. There was a strong odor of something burning but they found no hazards.

• Firefighters responded to East Jefferson Street to an unauthorized burn where they found a fire in a barrel. Americus Police was notified.

• Firefighters responded to a possible structure fire on East Avenue where they found a fire in the kitchen caused by a pot left on the stove which ignited the exhaust fan.

• Firefighters responded to responded to a traffic accident on East Jefferson Street.

• Terry Parker, 19, of 219 Graystone Drive, Americus is charged with theft by shoplifting, and was jailed.

• Antonio T. Foster, 29, of Douglas Circle, Americus is charged with failure to appear in court, and was jailed.

• Keicia N. Robinson, 26, of Albany is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.

• Charleston A. Wilbon, 40, of 513 Bessie Mays Circle, Americus is charged with battery (Family Violence Act) and was jailed.

Arrest

• Wayne L. Shockley, 40, of 239 S. Freeman Ave., Andersonville is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked, and was released on bond.

• Christopher I. Brunson, 24, of 318 Ridgeway Drive, Americus is charged with statutory rape and aggravated child molestation, and was released on bond.

• Sherry Klicrease, 41, of Sylvania is charged with felony failure to appear in court, and was jailed.

• Keishaun A. Thomas, 18, of 113 Shady Bottom, Lot 207, Americus is charged with simple battery, burglary and felony theft by taking, and was jailed.

• Chad M. Winkler, 28, of 120 Lonnie Lane, Americus is charged with knowingly driving motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration, and was released on bond.

• Kabrian T. Jackson, 22, of 126 Hosanna Circle, Americus is charged with obstruction of law enforcement officer, burglary and probation violation, and was jailed.

• Gerald D. Whitehead, 25, of Columbus is charged with child support violation, and was jailed.
