Americus

Public Hearing: The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of Americus (HAA) holds a public hearing to accept public comment on the HAA’splan for 208-2012 and to accept public comment concerning decals on HA vehicles. The hearing is at 3 p.m. June 24 at the GAA, 825 Mayor St.

Board Meeting: The Sumter County Department of Family & Childrens Services board meets at 5 p.m. June 24 at the DFCS office, 502-A S. Lee St. The meeting is open to the public.

Hospital Committee: The Strategic Partenrship Ad Hoc Committee of the Americus and Sumter County Hospital Authority meets at 6 p.m. June 25 in the conference rom of Sumter Regional East. The meeting is closed to the public.

Board Meeting: The Middle Flint Regional Development Center Board of Directors meets at 12:30 p.m. June 25 at Granny’s Kitchen in Americus.  The meeting is open to the public.

Six Flags Tickets: Sumter County 4-H Club has Six Flags tickets for $27. Stop by the Sumter County Agricultural Center, 331 U.S. Highway 19 South to purchase. Tickets are valid any regular operating day through Nov. 2. For information call 924-4476.

Class of 1978: The Americus High School class of 1978 is making plans now for a 30th high school reunion. The event will be Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Georgia Southwestern Golf & Conference Center in Americus.
