Warrants sworn for 12 people in Elk’s stabbing

Criminal warrants for an additional 12 individuals, in connection with the Elk’s Club stabbing on Sept. 19, have been issued by the Americus Police Department (APD).
According to a media release issued Monday by the APD, detectives have signed approximately 21 criminal arrest warrants for 12 suspects. The warrants cover the initial altercation that occurred inside the club, the secondary altercation and stabbing death that occurred in the parking lot of the club and any other incidents surrounding the altercations.
The stabbing resulted in the death of Trampest Arnett, 23, of Cypress Drive, Americus. London Renay Morgan, 23, of Fayetteville, was arrested by Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) Campus Police, in connection with the stabbings.
Additional warrants have been issued for:
• Arthur J. Ingram, 58, of West Church Street, Americus for disorderly house, obstruction of officers and tampering with evidence.
• Johnny Hopkin, 64, of Starlight Circle, Americus for disorderly house, two counts obstruction of officers and tampering with evidence.
• Larry Sheppard, 58, of Highland Drive, Americus for disorderly house, obstruction of officers and tampering with evidence.
• Marcus M. Johnson, 26, of Stargate Point, Stone Mountain for disorderly house.
• Serdrick Swan, 23, of Horton Drive, Americus for disorderly house.
• Marcus A. Jones, 26, of Lafayette St., Americus for sexual battery and affray.
• Brandon Sims, 27, of Weeks Trailer Park, Americus for affray.
• Brian K. Evans, 22, of Griffin Lane, Americus for affray.
• Kentroylis Clark, 23, of Starlight Circle, Americus for affray. Clark was reported stabbed in the initial report.
• Robert Lee Vickers, 20, of East Church Street, Americus for affray.
• Brandon Shaw, 21, of Teal Court, Hephzibah for affray.
