AMERICUS — The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) met Thursday and approved the following items.

• Certificate of appropriateness (COA) from the City of Americus to add a sign in front of Rees Park.

• COA from Calvary Episcopal Church to construct a brick handicap ramp into church school building on Brannen Avenue.

• COA from Earl and Beth Williams, South Lee Street, to extend a sunroom by 8 feet, reusing the same doors, windows, leaving the existing siding inside and matching siding on outside.
