Americus-Sumter Chamber to honor middle school student achievement

AMERICUS — The 9th Annual “Chamber Celebrates Student Excellence” ceremony honoring local middle grades student excellence will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1 in the James S. Peters Gymnasium on the campus of South Georgia Technical College (SGTC). The ceremony is sponsored by the Americus-Sumter County Chamber of Commerce.

Tim Rigsby, South Georgia Technical College 2011 GOAL Winner, is the featured speaker for the event.

The following students will receive recognition during the ceremony.

6th grade
