Published March 25, 2008 12:05 am - Funeral services for Robert F. Thompson Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Harvest Church with a visitation at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

Bob Thompson, 61, entered into rest on Sunday, March 23, 2008.

Mr. Thompson was born on Dec. 28, 1946, in Americus. He was a Certified Public Accountant, and senior partner of Thompson, Davis, and Hogan CPA. He also was involved in several civic organizations in Warner Robins including the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce, where he held various offices; the Thunderbird District of Boy Scouts, where he served as president; the Houston County Hospital Board; the Board of Museum of Aviation; and the Rotary Club, where he served as treasurer and president. He was a member of Harvest Church. He was very dedicated to his profession and his family, who will miss him dearly. His parents, Robert F. Thompson Sr. and Allie Inez Thompson, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Claire J. Thompson, Warner Robins; daughter, Marilyn Thompson Flynn, Warner Robins; sister, Anna Belle Thompson, Americus; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Harvest Church with a visitation at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations given to Harvest Church Building Fund, 3322 Highway 41 North, Byron GA 31008.
