Alan Raymond Weil

AMERICUS — Mr. Alan Raymond Weil,  91, passed away Monday afternoon, Nov.12, 2012, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Martha McDonald Chapel at Magnolia Manor with the Rev. Dennis Stalvey officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before services at Martha McDonald Chapel. Another church service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Stone Presbyterian Church in Clinton, N.Y. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Clinton, N.Y.

Mr. Weil was born May 17, 1921, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the son of the late Fredrick Raymond Weil and Jane Hazel Gilbert Weil. He was a chemical engineer with Union Carbide retired, a member of College Place United Methodist Church in Brunswick, Ga., and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Weil is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Hospodarsky and Ralph of Indianapolis, Ind., brother Henry Gilbert Weil of Raleigh, N.C.; sister Shirley Sollinger of Boulder, Colo.; two grandchildren Bethany Hospodarsky of Indianapolis, Ind., and Keith Hospodarsky of Kenosha, Wis., also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen Fredonia Coker Weil.
