AMERICUS — Each Tuesday, 10 Georgia Southwestern State University students and their teacher, Lynn Larsen, will hold class on the Staley Middle School Campus. The students, from the GSW School of Education, middle grades science methods course, will meet at Staley from 8-10:30 a.m. each Tuesday through April. Larsen stated that this is a different type of field experience for the students which will provide an opportunity to develop a collaboration between the GSW Science course and a local school. GSW chemistry professor named 2013-2014 Featured Scholar
Nedialka Iordanova, Ph.D., associate professor of chemistry, was announced as Georgia Southwestern State University’s 2013-14 Featured Scholar today by President Kendall A. Blanchard, Ph.D.
The public is invited to join the GSW community at a reception honoring Iordanova at 4 p.m. Monday in the Rotunda of the Wheatley Administration Building.

RCI expands signature support program: Operation Family Caregiver
Recognizing the great challenges faced by returning military service members and their families, Johnson & Johnson has expanded its funding of the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving’s (RCI) Operation Family Caregiver program, which offers support to family caregivers of service members.
