Don't be fooled
Stand up America for your freedoms, especially your religious freedom.
If you have been listening to the news the last few weeks, you are aware that our Government is requiring insurance companies to provide contraceptives under the new health care mandate. In addition, they initially stated the Catholic Church would have to provide this for their employees although it violates their beliefs and President Obama signed an executive order promising this would not occur in order to get health care passed. Our President's answer to the uproar this caused was to require the insurance company to provide the contraception instead of the Catholic employer. Only time will show the real outcome of our government's involvement in our religious freedoms guaranteed by the separation of church and state.
The latest sensation in this debate has been the testimony of a female law student at Georgetown University talking about the difficulty she and her peers have paying for their contraceptives while in college. This my friends has been stated as a matter of women's health issues. Does anyone believe such a story?
In Sumter County as well as all 159 counties in Georgia as well as most states in our country, contraceptives are available to everyone through the Health Dept. As a social service employee for 30 years, I know for a fact these services are available and have been for years. If this is already available to our citizens, why would mandating insurance companies to provide contraceptive be a matter of women's health?
You, my fellow citizens, are being duped! Is this law student too good to go to the available clinics for her contraceptives? So what is the real agenda here? Is it just the Govt. intervening in the personal morals and private lives of our citizens? I urge you to consider whether you want this kind of interference into your private life and your faith. It is not about getting all the freebies you can get, it is about your ability to hold on to your freedoms. Speak up, don't give them away because you may never get them back!
