Schley ‘Cats elminated from state championship playoffs

From Staff Reports

The Schley County High Wildcats’ baseball team has been eliminated for the bid for the state championship.

The ‘Cats lost to the Lanier County Bulldogs 21-5 Thursday.

Head Coach Chuck Cheek spoke briefly with the Times-Recorder Thursday evening.

“It was disappointing,” Cheek said. He added he felt his team should have won Wednesday, but the team did not.

Cheek said the winning pitcher was Nathan Bass, and the losing pitcher was Jessie Colter.
