AMERICUS — Georgia Southwestern men’s basketball coach has brought another recruit into the Hurricane program.
Sedale McGee-Jones, a transfer from Alabama Southern Community College in Monroeville, Ala. comes to GSW after averaging 11.4 points and 5.4 rebounds for the Eagles.
“Sedale is a versatile wing player who can affect the game both on offense and defense,” sad Leeder. “He is a good athlete and should be able to defend multiple positions for us next year. Offensively, Sedale can really score off the dribble and uses his athleticism around the rim. He is a great foul shooter and has a solid mid-range game."
McGee-Jones shot 50 percent from the floor and posted three double-doubles as a sophomore. He becomes the fourth player signed by the Hurricanes for the 2008-09 season, following Matt Mendell, Brandon Sims and Damayrius Adside.
The 2008-09 season kicks off Nov. 15 against Puerto Rico-Cayey.
