Published July 23, 2008 01:46 pm - BREAKING NEWS: It's official, GSW is in From Staff Reports AMERICUS — The wait is over. Georgia Southwestern received the much-anticipated phone call early today and was told it is now an official member of NCAA's Division II. Generally a four-year process, the university had its waiver cleared and will be eligible for all benefits and postseason play beginning in the 2008-09 academic year.
