Free Seminar: A free seminar, “Matters of the Heart,” is from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eastview Seventh Day Adventist Church, 701 Ashby St. Registration is from 2-2:30 p.m. Presenter is Dr. David L. Moore. Free gifts and door prizes. Everyone is invited though seaing is limited.

Caregiver Support: Innovative Senior Solutions holds a Caregiver Support Group meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Americus Day Health Center, 721-A Felder St. Guest speaker will be Luneda Brown from the Sumter County Health Department, presenting on services provided by the health department.

Community Service Board: Middle Flint HealthCare Community Service Board followed by a meeting of the Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare Foundation is at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Addiction Recovery Center, 952 Anthony Drive. The agenda is available upon request 931-4435 and both meetings are open to the public.

Live Internet Broadcast: Juvenile Court Judge Lisa Rambo of the Southwestern Judicial Circuit invites you to attend a morning class of a live internet broadcast: “Young Brains and Education” from 9 a.m.-noon Friday in Courtroom B on the second Floor of the Sumter County Courthouse. This free event will be broadcast live from the Emory University School of Law. Presenters are Commissioner Bobby Cagle, Department of Early Care and Learning and Stephanie Blank, founding chair of the governing board of the Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students. Facilitator is Brad Ray, SOWEGA CASA director. The goal is to improve the state’s quality-rated day care  especially for abused and neglected children who are court and agency involved. This presentation is for Lee, Macon, Schley, Stewart, Sumter and Webster stakeholders. Register with Renae Kellam at 229-928-4569 no later than Wednesday.
