The Sumter County Board of Education voted unanimously Thursday to elect Mike Busman as chair and Meda Krenson as vice chair.

After a 45-minute closed session, Edith Green moved to enter mediation with Mathis Wright in his law suit against the Sumter County of Elections, which was seconded by Alice Green. The Greens voted for and the the other five members: Busman, Krenson, Jim Reid, Rick Barnes and Sylvia Roland voted against.
