Americus

Cheek Memorial Baptist Church

A Light of Messiah Ministries is Sunday. The mini-series is broken into four sections beginning at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. It will include material based on Israel and the Middle East in Conflict and Jesus in the Jewish Festivals. The guest speaker will explain how the conflict in the Middle East ties into Biblical prophecy. The public is invited.

Welcome Baptist Church

Black History Month is celebrated at 11 a.m. Feb. 1 with Dr. Malcolm Floyd of Phoebe Sumter Medical Center as guest speaker. The public invited.

Zion Hope Baptist Church

A Pack the Pew Rally is at 5 p.m. Saturday with several gospel groups on the program.

AmeriYouth Outreach Ministries Inc.

First Salem Baptist Church

The Anointed Voices celebrates its ninth anniversary at 4 p.m. Jan. 18 at the church at 191 Twin Church Road. Event features The Bonnette Gospel Singers of Milledgeville, Tommy Barber and The Disciple Aires of Ashburn, The Related Gospel Singers of Tombsboro, The Gospel Sons of Montezuma, and more.

Plains

Bethlehem Baptist Church

The third anniversary of Apostle Charles Carr and first lady Shaquanis Carr at 7 p.m. Jan. 13-15. Tuesday, the message is brought by Pastor A.D. Brown of Greater Cedar Spring; Wednesday by Pastor Solomon Loud of New Beginning Ministry, and Thursday, Apostle Henry Hosley of Greater Good Hope Holiness.

The celebration culminates Jan. 18 with the message by Pastor Courtney Moore of Kingdom Harvest Ministry. Piney Grove No. 3 and Jerusalem Grove are also on the program, and dinner will be served.

Smithville

New Hope A.M.E. Church

Everyone is invited to the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 3 p.m. Sunday. Guest preacher is Elder David Towns II of Welcome Home Full Gospel and Rocky Mountain Baptist churches.
