• Firefighters responded to 27 calls for medical assistance.

• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at South Dudley Street and Millard Fuller Boulevard.

• Firefighters went to Tabby Lane on smoke detector detail.

• Firefighters responded to East Forsyth Street to a report of a possible structure fire. Upon arrival they learned that the HVAC unit was smoking and sparking.

• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

• Firefighters responded to Parker Street to a report of lines down. They found a phone cable down and moved it to the side of the road.

• Deandra R. Brown, 17, of 127 Hosanna Circle, Americus is charged with burglary, and was jailed.

• Brandon M. Burney, 24, of 211 Poplar St., Americus was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court, and was charged with theft by shoplifting.

• Kamila S. Bush, 37, of 259-A Lonnie Lane, Americus is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• Freddie Z. Calloway Jr., 51, of 114 Garden Lane, Americus is charged with battery and sexual battery.

• Shamaya S. Campbell, 22, of 101 Cornelia Drive, Americus is charged with assault/battery.

• Jeffery I. Coleman, 35, of 110-A Knollwood Drive, Americus is charged with two counts of criminal trespass, and was jailed.
