Lady Jets, Jets hold steady in second, third places

AMERICUS – Since dropping a key Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association decision to South Georgia State College on Feb. 4, the South Georgia Technical College Jets basketball team has gone on to win a pair of substantial victories over Chattahoochee Technical College and Paramount Sports Academy.

The wins bring the Jets’ GCAA record to 9-6 on the season and keep their third-place conference position safe. The Jets currently hold a 17-9 overall record on the season.

The Lady Jets, since dropping a 51-57 decision to Darton College, have remained firmly in second pace in the GCAA with a massive 94-25 win over Chattahoochee Tech on Feb. 7.

The Jets and Lady Jets return to action on Feb. 14 with a double-header against Atlanta Metropolitan College in Americus. The ladies’ match begins at 1:00 and the men take the court at 3:00.
