Capt. Ralph Stuart of the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said they are looking for information regarding a burgundy 2008 Toyota Tundra four-door pickup truck belonging to the victim of a fatal fire Friday on R.W. Jones Road. The truck belonged to Dallas Freeman, 33, whose body was found in the residence along with that of his mother Bonnie Freeman, 54.

Stuart said the truck was found abandoned at Joyce Myers Park, East Church Street, in Americus. He said if anyone has any information about the truck or its occupant(s) seen between 5 and 6 p.m. Friday, and more specifically between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m., should call the sheriff’s office at 229-924-4094 or Stuart at 229-938-6465. He said the truck’s occupant (s) may have been seen getting into another vehicle and leaving the area.
