Southland Academy appreciates the Gideons’ desire to reach out to its students. Traditionally, Gideon representatives visit with the fifth-grade students to explain the history of the Gideon ministry.  They also give each student a small testament of God’s Holy Word for them to have and share with others. This year, 35 Southland students and two teachers received Bibles from the Gideons. Representing the Gideons of Americus, Mike Gurley and Bobby Kirk, stand with fifth-grade students Caleb Law, Alana Blankenship and Brock Gurley.
