MANCHESTER, N.H. — Centenarian Joseph Nelson told reporters when asked to explain the secret to long life: “Every decision that was made in my hundred years, I think God made it for it me.”

If so, God just made the World War II veteran 7 cents richer. 

Nelson, 101 as of Monday, decided to celebrate the first day of his second century with a scrambled eggs, ham and chocolate cake breakfast at the Belmont Restaurant, which has a promotional policy of discounting the bills of customers who dine with them on their birthdays.
