AFES annual Benefit Golf Tournament to be held March 27

AMERICUS – Americus Fire and Emergency Services will be hosting the department’s 20th annual Benefit Golf Tournament on March 27 at the Griffin Bell Golf Links in Americus.

The tournament will be a four-man scramble and will be held in two flights, beginning at 8:00 AM and 12:30 PM.

The cost of participation is $240 per four-man team and includes a cart and lunch. Handicaps must be submitted upon sign-up.

First prize will be $300 for each flight. Second place will receive $225 for each flight and third place will receive $150 for each flight. The tournament will also include a longest-drive contest with a prize of $100 and a closest-to-the-hole prize of $100. A raffle will be held with prizes donated by local businesses.

All proceeds will go to support the Americus Fire and Emergency Services Comunity Safety and Fire Prevention Division.
