TIFTON – Following an impressive 9-3 victory over the Westfield Hornets on March 9, the Southland Raiders baseball team traveled to Tifton on March 10 to open the season’s region competition with a contest against the Tiftarea Academy Panthers.

The Raiders returned with a 3-2 victory over the Panthers in the match, bringing the team’s overall record to 3-1. The team’s region record is currently 1-0.

The Raiders return to action on March 13, facing the Terrell Academy Eagles in Americus at 4:30 PM. The Raiders will host the Brookwood Warriors on March 17 before traveling to Valdosta on March 18 to face the Valwood Valiants.
