Annual Prison To Peanuts Bicycling Adventure to be held April 25

PLAINS – The Jimmy Carter National Historic Site (JCNHS) is partnering with Sumter Cycling, the River Valley Regional Commission, and Andersonville National Historic Site (ANHS) to host the annual Prison to Peanuts Bicycling Adventure on April 25.

Participants will begin their journey at Rees Park in Americus and ride various routes of 13, 34, 65, and 105 miles. The 13-mile ride is a loop around Americus. The other three routes will lead participants to either JCNHS, ANHS or both, depending on the length of the ride chosen.

Rest stops will be provided along the way as well as a support vehicle for minor mechanical issues and first aid. Online registration is available through April 22 at www.activevalley.org/prisontopeanuts.

Registration is $30 prior to April 5 and $40 after that date. Children under age 10 ride free.
