• Firefighters responded to 22 calls for medical assistance.

• Firefighters responded to a smoke detector on Bozeman Circle. No hazards were found.

• Firefighters responded to Oak Avenue and Bell Street where they cut tree limbs to clear the roadway.

• Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. They found smoke coming from the back trailer brakes, so they cooled the overheated equipment.

• Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Pinecrest Drive.. They found no hazards.

• Firefighters responded to Sharon Drive to a report of a possible structure fire. Upon arrival occupant said they smelled a burning odor coming from an electrical socket in kitchen.

• Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Smith Street caused by a candle.

• Firefighters responded to Post Way to a homeowber locked out of their residence. After police arrived, they cut the padlock on the fence to the back door.

• Firefighters responded to Southerfield Road to a report of a person in distress. They used a pry bar to open screened door and assisted EMS with entry into structure.

• Walter J. Carter IV, 25, of 94-A Bozeman Circle, Americus is charged with probation violation.

• Monica M. Castillo, 32, of Wauchula, Fla., is charged with driving while license is suspended.

• Jacques J. Edwards, 33, of 911 Elm Ave., Americus is charged with disorderly conduct.

• Danny Hartage, 51, of 113 McMath Mill Road, Americus was arrested on an oustanding warrant, and is charged with DUI and expired tag or registration, and was jailed.

• Lashon Holt, 42, of 616 Jackson Ave., Americus is charged with simple battery (Domestic Violence Act), disorderly conduct and obstruction of law enforcement officer.

• Willie A. Lockhart Jr., 52, of 717 Park Row, Americus is charged with disorderly conduct.

• Jancinta T. McCoy, 19, of 209 Elliott Drice, Americus is charged wtih battery, and was jailed.

• Chloe A. Peoples, 22, of 116 E. Allen St., Leslie is charged with disorderly conduct.

• Melanie M. Ratliff, 22, of Greenville, S.C., was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and is charged with interference with custody.

• Oscar L. Trice, 66, of 130 Lonnie Lane, No. 144, Americus is charged with aggravated assault and criminal trespass.

• Darious R. Tyner, 24, of 109-G Magnolia Court, Americus is charged with simple battery (Domestic Violence Sct).

• Julia L. Tyner, 38, of 409 S. Hampton St., Americus is charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of law enforcement officer.

• Brittany J. Underwood, 20, of 281 Croxton Crossroad, Plains is charged with disorderly conduct.

• Cierra Watts, 24, of 555 Mitchell St., DeSoto is charged with simple battery (Domestic Violence Act), disorderly conduct and obstruction of law enforcement officer.

• Henry E. Sheffield, 54, of 102-C Eastview Drive, Americus is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked, fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, knowingly driving motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration and no insurance, and was jailed.

• Minnie R. Westbrook, 67, of 242-C S. Dudley St., Americus is charged with deposit account fraud, and was released on bond.

• D’Quinton N. Worthy, 21, of 313 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Montezuma is charged with violation of child support order, and was released after paying a fine.
