DUBLIN — Services for Jacquelyn Marie Cheek Austin, 66, of Dublin, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The Rev. Darren Talley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Austin died Wednesday, April 22, 2015.

Mrs. Austin was a retired registered nurse and major in the Georgia Army National Guard and a member of First Baptist Church in Americus.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, John M. Cheek Jr., Curtis Ray Watson and Peggy Joyner; and parents, John Milford Cheek and Ivalene Connell Cheek.

Survivors include her husband, Kirk Austin, M.D., of Dublin; daughter, Joby Rawlins (Danny Sheehan) Dearing of Dinwiddie, Va.; grandchildren, Emily (Chris) Ledet of Charleston, S.C., Zackery Dearing and Joshua Dearing, both of Dinwiddie, Va.; brother, William S. (Marilyn) Cheek of Rockledge, Fla.; nieces, Paula Watson Faircloth, Bonnie Watson, Donna Watson Bracewell and Julie Watson Childers; nephew, Tony Ray Watson; and life-long friend, Elizabeth Mallory.
