Bill Bowen had the program at a recent meeting of the Americus Kiwanis Club. Bowen, veteran and former Sumter County commissioner, who is also a Kiwanian, is well known for his wit and humor. He  gave an entertaining talk on growing up on the family farm outside Americus. Bowen, who has a knack with the English language, had his fellow Kiwanians and guests laughing with his homespun stories, which are actually true.
