ANDERSONVILLE — Charles Malcom Mooney, 68, of 113 Anderson St., Andersonville, died at his residence Friday, Sept. 11, 2015. A native of Americus, he was born March 26, 1947, the son of the late Harvey Franklin and Annie Flora Mooney. Mr. Mooney was a retired truck driver.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 16, 2015, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chris Wooden officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Mooney of Andersonville; two stepdaughters, Raissa Welch of Ellaville and Denise Holley also of Ellaville; a brother, James Mooney of Queens Village, N.Y..; three stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Mooney and a stepson, Timmy Parton; and three brothers, Wayne Mooney, Gordy Mooney and Billie Mooney.
