COBB — Beverly Jean Lane Hargrove, 79, of 124 N. Spring Creek Circle, Cobb died on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany. A native of Americus, she was born July 17, 1936, the daughter of the late Herman Lane and Belva Conley Lane. She was a member of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church.  She retired from 30 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service and performed volunteer work with the Pink Ladies of the Crisp Regional Hospital Auxillary.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brian Bentley and the Rev. Phil Streetman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cindy Hargrove  and Tut and Lori Hargrove, all of Americus; a daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Matt Mitchell of Cordele; a sister, Betty Sue Baskin of Woodbury; and six grandchildren, Brittany Hargrove, Chance Hargrove, Heidi Hargrove, Tyler Hargrove, Ansley Mitchell and Ashden Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marion Hargrove.
