General Reid was sworn in as the newest members of the Sumter County Board of Equalization by Nancy Smith, clerk of Superior Court. The board hears appeals in Sumter County tax matters on issues of taxability, uniformity of assessment, value and denials of homestead exemptions. Chief Judge Smith stated, ‘We are honored to have people as dedicated as these serving Sumter County.’
