• Firefighters responded to 26 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a report of arcing HVAC equipment on Taylor Street where they found a small amount of smoke and a smell of wires burning. They advised homeowner to leave power off and contact a repairman.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire on Forrest Street where they found an overheated heating unit.
• Firefighters responded to Shirley Road to assist EMS gaining entrance to a structure for a medical alarm. It was a malfunction.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire on North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard where they found a light haze in the structure and an overheated blower on the HVAC unit.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Lamar Street.
• Firefighters responded to an illegal burn on Kings Way.
• Firefighters responded to Harris Street to a report of a burning smell. They found an electrical short in the water heater and advised the landlord should be notified.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Crawford Street and Lorraine Avenue where they cleaned up an antifreeze spill.

• Contralus R. Brown, 29, of Albany is charged with DUI, driving while unlicensed and driving wrong way on a one-way street.
• Terrance J. Cliatt, 24, of 725 Beale St., Americus is charged with criminal trespass and probation violation, and was jailed.
• Flinza S. Davis, 22, of 508 W. Church St., Americus is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of firearm during commission of crime, open container, fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, failure to obey traffic signal or light, passing in a no-passing zone, possession and use of drug-related objects and felony theft by taking, and was jailed.
• Narada K. Dodson, 33, of 1130 Felder St., Apt. 10-E, Americus is charged with misdemeanor failure to appear in court for finger printable charge, and was released on bond.
• Charles Harris, 31, of 202 Tom Hall Circle, Americus is charged with striking unattended vehicle, reckless driving, driving while license is suspended or revoked and probation violation, and was jailed.
• Jason L. Hill, 41, of Oglethorpe is charged with open container, driving while license is suspended or revoked and DUI.
• Roger L. Jackson IV, 19, of 807 Fulton St., Americus is charged with loitering and prowling and obstruction of law enforcement officer.
• Trenton R. Johnson of 111 Linnie St., Americus is charged with failure to yield after stopping at stop sign.
• Two juveniles were charged with unruliness on Eastview Circle.
• A juvenile was charged with possession of firearm under age 18 and discharging a firearm on property of another at Cripple Creek Apartments, Knollwood Drive.

• Jason T. Robinson, 19, of Marshallville is charged with simple battery, and was jailed.
• Afranee J. Smothers, 20, of 124 Pinecrest Drive, Americus  was arrested on a bench warrant, and jailed.
• Marquis D. Whitacre, 19, of Pinehurst is charged with manufacturing/distribution of a controlled substance in, on or near school property and possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute, and was jailed.
