Calhoun takes third in senior division at Foot Locker South Cross Country Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Southland Academy senior and cross country star, Wright Calhoun, recently traveled to Charlotte, N. C. to participate in the Foot Locker South Regional Cross Country Championships, one of the most prestigious cross country events in the southeast. Winners of this race earn the right to advance to the upcoming National Cross Country Championships in California.
Calhoun finished third in the senior division of the races, clocking an impressive time of 16:18.
Fellow GISA runner, Evan Downs, of Augusta took tenth.
Calhoun was the top runner from Georgia in the senior race.
Calhoun recently signed with Columbus State to run track and cross country next season.
