AMERICUS — Mr. Randy Wellons, 74, passed away peacefully on Dec.  9, 2015, at his home in Sumter County. Funeral services will be held on at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2015,  in the chapel at Aldridge Funeral Services. The Rev. William Hall will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery following the funeral. Friends and family may visit from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015,  at Aldridge Funeral Services, and at other times at 158 Gordon Road in Americus, Ga.
Mr. Wellons was born on July 24, 1941, in Americus, Ga., the son of Gordon Alvin Wellons and Louise Herrington Wellons. Mr. Wellons was retired from Scoggins Produce. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Murline Wellons; two sons and daughters-in-law: Greg Wellons (Teresa) of Americus and Ricky Wellons (Tammy) of Americus; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Rusty Wellons (Honey) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Alvin Wellons (Gail) of Americus; two grandchildren: Aaron Wellons (Rebecca) and Cory Wellons (Audrey); and four great-grandchildren: Anthony Wellons, Leila Wellons, Paislee Wellons, Jaxon Wellons, Lilly Grant and Brent Grant. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bette McQuriter, and his parents Gordon and Louise Wellons.
