AMERICUS — Katherine (Kay) Anderson Magee Wilkinson, 92, of Leslie, died Monday, Dec.14, 2015, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus. A native of Plains, she was born on Nov. 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Irwin Fulwood and Lallah Williamson Anderson. She graduated from Union High School in 1941, and married the late George E. Magee in 1942. She was a homemaker and she served in the Navy (WAVES) from November 1943 until February 1945. In 1981, she married the late Thad H. Wilkinson.  Mrs. Wilkinson was a member of the Leslie United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Town & Country Garden Club of Leslie and the Council of Safety Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was well known and much loved, and will be lovingly remembered by a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at Leslie United Methodist Church with her grandson, the Rev. Scott Tucke,r and the Rev. Guy Mathis officiating. Pallbearers include Larry Tucker, Jr.,  Johnie Tucker, Joseph Tucker, Ben Tucker, Matt Tucker, Greg Murdaugh, Jimmy Webb, Ernie Ringer, Garrett Ringer and John Kerr. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Cora Pryor Sunday School Class. Burial will follow in the Leslie City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from  5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times, 351 Tucker Road, Smithville. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the Leslie United Methodist Church, 111 E. Allen St., Leslie GA 31764; The Sumter Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd., Americus GA 31709 or The  League of the Good Samaritan at Magnolia Manor, 2001 S. Lee St., Americus GA 31709.
Survivors include her daughter Phyllis M. Tucker (Larry) of Smithville; two sons, George E. Magee Jr. (Kay) of Leslie and Kenneth G. Magee (Debra) of Chapin, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, the Rev. Scott Tucker (Patty), Larry Tucker Jr. (Lety), Johnie Tucker (Laura), Shea Webb (Jimmy), Staci Magee, Cassie Kerr (John), Greg Murdaugh, Andrea Ringer (Ernie), J.C. Arrington and Bridgette Hash; and eleven great-grandchildren, Joseph, Ben, Amy and Matt Tucker, Elijah Tucker, Bria Webb, Whit and Katherine Carter Kerr, Garrett, Kyndall and Andrew Ringer.
