Junior instructors

Eighth-grade students at Sumter County Middle School got a taste of what it’s like to be an educator. Students were given time to review and prepare for a lesson on theme. These students were then able to visit a seventh-grade language arts class and assist students as they explored common themes found in The Hobbit  by J. R. R. Tolkien. Each eighth-grade student was assigned a group to work with and instruct. The Junior Instructors were well prepared, engaging, and insightful as they helped their fellow Panthers meet their learning targets.
