AMERICUS — Ellen Lattke passed away on Dec. 26, 2015, at the home of her daughter in Americus.
She is survived by four children: Lilian Lattke Lopez, Lorna Gonzalez, George Lattke and Patricia Lattke. She also had 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Lattke, in 1971, and by her only great-great-grandchild, Maximo Zambrano, in 2015.
She was born on July 12, 1919, in Berlin, Germany, and then immigrated to Cali, Colombia, in 1937. She was loved by all who met her and will be missed, especially her smile, laugh, sense of humor, and her altruism.
The family will have a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at the home of Lilian Lopez, 309 Eckles Road, in Americus.
