MACON — James Edward Camp, 74, died on Jan. 5, 2016, at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. A native of DeSoto, he was born July 6, 1941, the son of the late Joshua and Mary Lillie Camp. He was retired from Redman Mobile Home and loved hunting, fishing on Chokee Creek and working on lawnmowers.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at 2 p.m. at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include a daughter, Becky Ann Camp and Eddie Thompson of Albany; four sons, James E. Camp Jr. and Treena Peeples of Americus, Terry and Natalie Camp of McRae, Daryl Camp and Shona Cowan of Plains, and Richard E. Camp of Wetumpka, Ala.; a sister, Patricia Childree of Butler; three brothers and sister-in-law, Burl and Sue Camp of Reynolds, John and Darlene Camp of Thomaston and George Camp of Kellyton, Ala.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
