Americus
Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church
The 157th church anniversary is celebrated at 3 p.m. Feb. 14 with the theme, “Herein is Love! (1st John 4:10). Host church is Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, 132 Bumphead Road. The sermon is by Presiding Elder Dr. John Wesley Bass, Eastern District/Southwest Georgia Conference/6th Episcopal District and music and selections are by the Original Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church  “Dorothy Apple Young Adult Choir” and Lynn Tyson, musician, and a special selection by the Vivian Bryant Angel Choir (both choirs founded and established by former Pastor Rev. John Wesley Bass.) Everyone is invited to help pack a pew.

Touched & Tranformed Ministries
In helping with the water crisis in Flint, Mich., the ministry is donating water to that community but they need help in donating a case of water. To make a donation, bring it to  the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office or call Tanya Reese 229-591-2565. The ministry is a 5013(C) nonprofit organization.

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church
Youth Revival is at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 and 3. Elder Kaplop Edge of Restoration Church brings the message Tuesday, and the Rev. Willie Green brings the message Wednesday. Everyone is invited.

New St. Paul Baptist Church
Black History is celebrated at 11 a.m. Feb. 7.
The 54th Ushers’ anniversary is celebrated at 4 p.m. Feb. 14 with Sister Hattie Ferguson of Old Corinth Baptist Church speaking on ushers. The church pastor, Michael walker, delivers the sermon.

Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church
The African American Legends and Legacies Celebration — A Church Family Reunion — is at 3 p.m. Feb. 6. Each “daughter” church (Mount Olive, Big Bethel, Friendship, Union Tabernacle and Restoration) will have displays set up. A youth from each church will present a poetic reading from an African-American poet or writer. Rutha Harris, one of the original Freedom Singers from Albany, will tell her story through music. Barbara Edmonds will perform a dramatic skit. A delicious dinner will be served along with a silent auction. Tickets are $20 each. Welcome Baptist Church
Black History is observed during the 11 a.m. worship service Feb. 7 with guest speaker, Deacon P.D. Harris of Atlanta. The public is invited.

William Grove Baptist Church
The Usher Ministry celebrates its anniversary at 11 a.m. Feb. 7. Sister Deborah Dickson of Macedonia Baptist Church, Atlanta, is  guest speaker. All ushers from the surrounding areas are invited.

Women Deliverance  Ministry
A pre-Valentine celebration, “God’s Expression of Love” Banquet, is at 6 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Leslie Civil Center. Lebanon Baptist Church
The Christian Family Cluster Circle Ministry hosts the annual Valentine Extravaganza at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 in the church’s Fellowship Hall. Children ages 8 to 18 are invited and Sumter County youth will get a special treat. A spaghetti dinner will be served.
