AMERICUS — George Theron Dominick Jr., age 74, of 707 Thrasher Road, Plains, died at Feb. 2, 2016, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Plains, he was born July 21, 1941, the son of the late George Theron and Jewel Dominick Sr. Mr Dominick was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Plains. He loved fishing and his special friend “ Hound Dog.”
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Lebanon Cemetery in Plains with the Rev. Charles Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon GA  31201.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Blankenship Fox Dominick of Plains; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ronda and Kevin Wells of Ellaville, Dana and David McLemore of Americus, and Kim and Sonny Achtchi of Atlanta; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sonya Fox of Americus, and Michael Dominick of Plains; a brother, Tommy Dominick of Perry; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Pam Dominick and a sister, Barbara Hollingshead.
