• Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Murphy Mill Road which is under investigation.
• While eating lunch at the DQ Grill and Chill Restaurant, 1321 E. Lamar St., Capt. Zane Newman was asked to extinguish a small fire in the grill.
• Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the area of Plum Street. The occupant advised he had a truck in his shop that was smoking and turned on an exhaust fan to clear it. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to Mayo and Jefferson streets to a possible gas leak. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Mayo Street.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Lamar Street.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Hudson Street and Fetner Drive.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian on Magnolia Street.
• Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Tabby Lane. No hazards were found.
