Over Flow Worship  Center opens doors
On Sunday, Jan. 17, the new Over Flow Worship Center held its first morning service  in the new church located on South Broad Street and Industrial Drive here in Ellaville. The pastor is Will Rayburn and his wife is Micah Fripp Rayburn.
These are the activities for the New Worship Center and everyone invited to join them.
Sunday worship service is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday night Prayer Meeting is at 6 p.m. and the Youth Group meets at 6 p.m.
There will be many more activities that will be announced later.
The worship center held its dedication at 6 p.m. Jan. 30.

Ellaville-Schley County Chamber holds annual dinner meeting
On Jan.  28, the Ellaville -Schley County Chamber of Commerce  held its 21st annual dinner meeting in the Schley County High School cafeteria.
Sharon Watson, outgoing president, welcomed everyone. The program was different this year. The entertainment was first: Leigh Crumbly, soloist; Melody Thai, pianist; Jesse Reese, Laken Waters and Mikaela Ellis, trio: Korben Ethridge and Jon Inzetta, trumpeters; and Lakon Waters and Doug Goodin gave a humorous presentation.
The Rev. Joel Smith gave the invocation, and dinner was served  by Cousins Catering of Americus. The meal consisted of chicken breast with a special sauce, green beans, potato casserole, yeast rolls, a special selection of desserts as well as coffee and tea.
After dinner Sharon introduced the new officers: Jerry Cook, president; Jason Hoch, vice president; Leah Clark, secretary; and Kay McCarty, treasurer; and board members Duane Montgomery, Kathy Bruer, Shawn Foltz, Sheila Bivins and Paige Peavey.
After the introduction and business section, Kim Lawhorn gave a report on the upcoming Springtime Ellaville which the Chamber sponsors every spring.
The tables were decorated  by the Ellaville Floral and Gift Shop. There were 55 people that attended this special event.
