Ross and Cynthia Cox of Alpharetta announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Elaine Cox Alpharetta, to Thomas Logan Daniel of Americus, son of Arthur and Sandra Daniel of Americus.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. Ross and Nancy Cox of Cumming, John Cook and the late Charlotte Cook of Decatur.
She is a 2008 graduate of Northview in Duluth, and received a bachelor of science in psychology from the University of Georgia (UGA), Athens in 2012. In 2015, she graduated from Valdosta State University with a master’s of education in school counseling. She was named an NCAA Academic All-American.
She is employed as a school counselor at Charles Spencer Elementary School in Tifton.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Keim Davis of Andersonville, Penny Daniel of Ellaville and the late Arthur Daniel III.
He is a 2009 graduate of Southland Academy, Americus, and a 2013 cum laude graduate of UGA with a bachelor of science in financial planning.
He is a financial planner at Henssler Financial in Sandy Springs.
The wedding is planned for 5 p.m. May 7, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, Americus.
