AMERICUS — Funeral services for Mary Alice Hogg Smith Bolstridge, 78, of Americus will be 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ronald Kirkland will officiate and the interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bolstridge passed away Feb. 21, 2016, in Americus.
Born Nov. 9, 1937, in Preston, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Martin and Myrtice Gay Hogg. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville and worked at Thomas Drugs for 15 years as a book keeper. After moving to Americus, Mrs. Bolstridge worked at the Americus-Sumter County Chamber of Commerce, retiring in 2010, as president of the Chamber. Mrs. Bolstridge was married to Vaughan Bolstridge, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters Becky Lee and husband Steve of Thomasville, Lisa Teal and husband Chris of Columbus, Georgia; son, Chuck Smith of Columbus, Georgia; stepdaughters Charlene Bass of Thomasville, Jeanine Smith Kirkland and husband Ronald; stepsons, Alan Smith and wife Elaine of Panama City, Florida, and Danny Smith and wife Arlene of Boston, Georgia; grandchildren, Jacob Teal, Jessica Teal, Aiden Smith, Garrett Smith; and sister Pat Hogg Warmack of Louisville, Mississippi. The family will receive friends before the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online register at www.allenfh.com
